Vasudev (Vas) Bhandarkar (CEO, ScoreData Corporation) is a consummate entrepreneur who has co-founded and built several successful market-focused organizations in B2C Internet services, enterprise software, and mobile services industries. He is a strategic thinker envisioning breakthrough product lines linked to realization of business objectives. He has recruited and led high performance executive/professional teams and has in-depth operating experience in building complex multi-disciplinary organizations.
He was Chairman and CEO of Unimobile, a wireless platform software company which was sold to Electronics for Imaging (EFII). From January 2000 to December 2000, Unimobile grew from 5000 to 1.2M consumers worldwide and their products were used by leading Banks, Financial Institutions and Airlines in the world. Today Unimobile messaging servers deliver more than a billion messages of inter-carrier messaging traffic in the United states. During his career Vas has successfully built/helped build businesses in Wireless/Internet (Unimobile, cellmania.com, carwale.com) Enterprise software (Selectica/B2B2C, Remedy/B2B), and Outsourced Services (Globallogic) industries. His operational experience spans marketing, business development, sales, product development and general management. Prior to Unimobile, Vas was the Senior Vice-President of Business Development and early investor in Cellmania, which was recently acquired by Blackberry-RIM.
Prior to Cellmania, Vas was the founding Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Selectica Inc. a leading provider of intelligent selling systems and configuration tools for the Internet, which had a successful IPO on the NASDAQ (SLTC) in 2000. At Selectica, he was instrumental in shaping the company’s software strategy and helped close the first partnership and multi-million dollar sales deals (Ascend, BMW, and HP) that established the company as a leader in the market. Prior to Selectica he founded and ran a successful software services firm, Alma Enterprises, which he merged into Selectica. He has also held senior technology positions at Bell Laboratories, Digital Equipment Corporation, Apple Computer and Remedy Corporation. He was part of the marketing team that helped with the Initial Public Offering of Remedy Corporation (Nasdaq:RMDY). Finally, Vas has built two successful off-shore development facilities in India at Pune (Selectica) & Bangalore (Unimobile) and managed the Engineering and Test and Monitoring facility in Delhi for Yugma Corporation.

From 2004 to 2012 Vas served on the Board of Globallogic, a global outsourced product development services company, based in Vienna, Virginia and with offices in Argentina, India, China and the Ukraine. Vas was a very active Board member, working alongside sales and marketing teams helping close deals and open doors for new business. Vas was instrumental in establishing Globallogic’s Mobile services business. He also helped set up Globallogic’s Advisory Board and recruited it’s first members and served on their Strategy and Compensation committees. Vas is an advisor to and investor in several early stage startup companies.
Vas holds Masters degrees in Computer Science from Colorado State University and Physics from IIT-Bombay and has completed course work towards an MBA at Santa Clara University and executive education in Corporate Governance and Finance at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Vas is a charter member of TiE – The Indus Entrepreneurs Organization. He is also involved with SINE - the Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at IIT-Bombay and Team-CSU from Colorado State University .
